Betway eSports betting

IEM Katowice 2019 is almost set to go. 24 teams will battle it out for their share of $1.000,000 prize pool and of course a Major trophy. This is going to be a long event. The first match will start on February 13th, while the grand finals will be played on March 3rd.

We here at Esportsbite will try our best to present to you with the highest odds provided by Esports bookmakers, alongside our IEM Katowice 2019 betting predictions.

IEM Katowice 2019 outright winner odds

All popular Esports bookmakers are heavily favoring Astralis to win IEM Katowice 2019. There is a reason for that. Danes have been on terror throughout the entire 2018. However, they had a rough last event, where they were eliminated by Liquid in the grand finals of iBUYPOWER Masters IV. Furthermore, betting on Astralis would not be so profitable, and I am sure that they are not going to win every game. My advice is to completely skip betting on Astralis, at least do it once the odds are high.

Format and schedule

There are three stages to IEM Katowice 2019. The first one can also be seen as the qualifiers, while the second one is the main event. Furthermore, the last stage is also known as the playoffs.

The New Challengers Stage (February 13th – February 17th)

As mentioned above, this is usually another qualifier. 16 teams will battle it out, and only 8 of them will advance through to the next stage of IEM Katowice 2019. However, the bottom 8 teams are relegated. All of the matches are played in a best-of-1 format, while advancement and elimination matches are all played in a best-of-3 series.

The New Legends Stage (February 20th – February 24th)

This Stage is the real deal. Only the best teams will be able to participate here. Also, teams like Astralis, FaZe, BIG, Natus Vincere already qualified for this Stage since they were in the top 8 teams on the last Major, FACEIT Major 2018. Just like in the previous Stage, 8 teams will advance, while the other 8 teams are eliminated from the tournament. Once again, all of the matches are played in a best-of-1 format, while advancement and elimination matches are played in a best-of-3 series.

The New Champions Stage (February 28th – March 3rd)

In other words, playoffs. Only the best 8 teams from The New Legends Stage will advance through to the playoffs of IEM Katowice 2019. There are no second chances for anyone in this Stage. Rules are pretty simple, you lose, you are out. Lastly, all of the matches are played in a best-of-3 series.
