Natus Vincere, Ukrainian CSGO organization, is ranked as the third best team in the world at the moment. This is a famous organization, not known only for their CS:GO roster, but for other top eSports teams as well. When it comes to Counter-Strike:Global Offensive, Natus Vincere consists out of 3 Ukrainian players, and 2 Russians.
- Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev
- Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko
- Egor “flamie” Vasilyev
- Aleksandr “S1mple” Kostyliev
- Denis “electronic” Sharipov
A lot of CSGO enthusiast will associate individual skill with Natus Vincere CSGO roster. The team is swarming in raw firepower. However, they are a great mixture of young talent and experienced veterans.
Firstly, Natus Vincere’s veterans, Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev, and Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko are both very experienced, as they have been around Counter-Strike for a while now. However, they are falling back in terms of aim and movement. That is not such a big problem for Zeus, because he is mainly in the team because of his brain, he has an outstanding ability to lead his team once the shooting starts. A couple of years ago, Edward was one of the most constant players for Ukrainians, mostly known for his proficiency with pistols.
Secondly, Egor “flamie” Vasilyev is mainly a rifler for the team, but he is also capable of producing frags as a secondary AWPer. He as well has been poor for the team this year. There is a reason why he was crowned as 12th and 14th best player in the world in 2015, and 2016. If he gets his confidence back, he will definitely win a lot of tournaments with Natus Vincere.
Last but not least, Aleksandr “S1mple” Kostyliev, and Denis “electronic” Sharipov. The talent that these two guys share is out of this world. There is not much to say about electronic. He is an excellent rifler, and of the best anchor players in the game. His ability to lock down a bomb site is insane. He is also very good at controlling rifle recoil, and getting multi frags. There is no much to say about S1mple, give him a weapon and he will find the kills, as simple as that. He is a brutally aggressive player, primarily an AWPer. He will always pull flashy kills and skills, and simply, he is a joy to watch
Aleksandr started playing CSGO at a very young age. His first professional team was Flipside, a Ukrainian CSGO organization. However, things did not work as they were planned. While the team was winning, everything was great, but once they started losing, a lot changed, mainly S1mple’s behavior. He would be really toxic towards his teammates, which was ruining their chemistry and moral. After he left Flipside Tactics, he was shuffling teams, mainly being a stand-in.
After his European saga, he befriended with a North American legend, HIKO. Not so long after that, in early 2016, he signed a contract with CSGO team Liquid. He was only 18 years old. Not so long after joining, he and HIKO managed to carry team Liquid to the MLG Columbus, a Major tournament. ESL One Cologne 2016 was his last tournament with the North American organization, as S1mple started feeling homesick and decided against going back to North America.
In August of 2016, S1mple joined Ukrainian Counter-Strike Global Offensive organization, Natus Vincere. His first event with the new teams was a successful one, they won ESL One New York 2016, and yes, Aleksandr was crowned as an MVP of the tournament. Not everything was so perfect. After a series of bad results, S1mple showed his toxic side once again. However, after Denis “electronic” Sharipov arrival, he has shown that he can step up and carry games with S1mple.

As Aleksandr himself said, he has to remain calm in order to play on a level he is capable of. He gets nothing out of flaming and yelling at his teammates. Show respect to get respect, no matter what.
Natus Vincere does not have a certain playstyle they stick to. Most of their matches are based on getting a pick, or just by Aleksandr “S1mple” Kostyliev annihilating his opponents. They enjoy playing loose, aggressive style of CSGO, mostly based on winning aim duels. They also have a great in-game leader in the likes of Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko, who proved himself as a valuable asset not only for Natus Vincere but for Gambit as well, as he led Gambit to the Major trophy.
Mykhailo “kane” Blagin is a relatively young coach. He was not around for a long period of time, as he was brought in as a Sergey “starix” Ischuk replacement. He has joined Natus Vincere in late 2017, and he helped them a lot. It seems like all of the “s1mple effect” problems have been solved. The team is gaining chemistry throughout every tournament they play, and they are constantly improving. Certainly, kane did his job right, as Natus Vincere marches forward.

ACHIEVEMENTS IN 2018
CSGO team Natus Vincere played a lot of tournaments so far in 2018. They have been in top 5 for most of the tournaments they participated in, but it feels like they are missing another great fragger. With that addition, I really feel that this team would be a serious threat to the best team in the world, Astralis. These are the tournaments Ukrainians won in 2018.
- StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5
- CS:GO Asia Championships 2018
- ESL One: Cologne 2018
Future is definitely bright for Natus Vincere, as their main player, Aleksandr “S1mple” Kostyliev is on fire this year. Who knows, maybe this is not even his peak, maybe he is just warming up. I believe that S1mple will lead Natus Vincere to a Major trophy next year.
What do you think, if Natus Vincere was to make a roster change, who should they pick, and who should go? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
